Shagwa is my best friend

My friends and I were fooling around today at school and somehow we thought of Sagwa that Chinese cat thing. The theme song has a sticky ring to it; hao peng you, hao peng you, sagwa shi wo de hao peng you... I used to reaD my textbooks or doing exercise C on my math book while watching the show. I can't believe I still remember it after all these years. And the funny things is that Sagwa's parents are called mama miao and papa miao. Haha... You would think that was stupid enough but we gave ourselves nicknames. Crystal = Sa Lao Gua, Sabina = Sha Gua, Vicky = Shen Jing Gua, Nick = Ai Gua and I am Sam Ba Gua... LOL.

Yesterday when we are rushing for Crystal, Sabina and Joshua's global warming project which I offered to help, we cut lots of magazines especially Astro View and Dewan Siswa. We cut one of the astro magazine cover face and Ang was putting her face through the hole. Haha. More details at Crystal's blog. But we made the poster come together just in time although it did not match the correct paper size. It was actually smaller than the required size but we were not alone since some other teams did not know about it also. But I think it looks kinda nice, too bad I did not take any photos before we handed the poster in as soon as the school bells started to ring.

My Chicken

Sometimes when people are alone, they do stupid things like play hide and seek with their own reflection in the mirror or try to eat all the food in the house and other stupid stuff. And in my case, I was lazy and bored so I made a chicken, literally. Not a live one of course, but its still a chicken. Hahaha.

This would be my chicken

And this would be me.

The Little Snicket Lad

The Little Snicket Lad

Verse One: On a charming little cattle farm
Near a pretty deadly lake
Was a very pregnant woman
And her husband, known as Jake

Though they lived in a big mansion
Down Robber Road a tad
It was at the farm the lady
bore the little Snicket lad

Chorus: And they took him, yea, they took him,
They took him far away
They took him in the dead of night
Beneath a moon of gray

They took him from the kitchen,
Like you'd take a midnight snack,
The V.F.D. they took him
and they never brought him back

Verse Two: He was lively, and intelligent,
and drank a lot of milk,
his crib was made of silver,
and his diapers sewn from silk

Both his siblings watched him,
and his mother and his dad,
But someone else was watching,
O'er the little Snicket lad

Chorus: And they took him, yea, they took him,
They took him far away
They took him in the dead of night
Beneath a moon of gray

They took him from the kitchen,
Like you'd take a midnight snack,
The V.F.D. they took him
and they never brought him back

They took him from the kitchen,
and dropped him on the way,
He fell up on the darkened ground
and tried to crawl away

Verse Three: One evening Jake was chopping wood
And his wife was at the mill
The two siblings were drinking tea
And the house was very still

They came in through the windows
Not the door which was the fad
A long black car was parked outside
For the little Snicket lad

Chorus: And they took him, yea, they took him,
They took him far away
They took him in the dead of night
Beneath a moon of gray

They took him from the kitchen,
Like you'd take a midnight snack,
The V.F.D. they took him
and they never brought him back

Coda: "When we grab you by the ankles
Where our mark is to be made
you'll soon be doing noble work
Although you won't be paid

When we drive away in secret
You'll be a volunteer
So don't scream where we take you

THE WORLD IS QUIET HERE.

Misleading Title

Chorus speaking competition was this morning at SM Kian Kok hall. And guess what, we got 2nd! runner-up. Our school choir got 1st place, as usual... And the speech got 3rd.

Well, um, never mind the results... At least we worked hard for the chorus speaking and it was kinda fun... Seri Insan got 1st place, again, not a surprise. And we actually lost to Kian Kok which was in 2nd place. I'm not gonna mope about it anymore, hopefully. It's over already anyway, at least we got the recognition from everyone, a real recognition of course.

I hope we can do better next year since we're gonna be the host to the not-so-exciting-with-20-minute-speeches 'carnival'. (that's what they call the whole event, not sure why though). I have to join the chorus speaking team again next year!

My Exam Results

Yay, I FINALLY passed all my subjects this time. Hahaha... I'm so glad I didn't fail Add. Maths this time. Guess my days in hell did pay off~ I just hope that my marks are enough to get a nicer looking report card... Well, I think I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed till PTS Day.

My Awesome Holiday

So, last week I went to Buntu Tuhan with Vicky. We left the next day after our exams ended, woohoo!! Its really fun there, got to know lots of people especially crazy ones. The camp was 3 day and 2 nights. First day I was there I didn't know how to turn on the hot water and I had to shower in freezing cold water, hahaha. We bought lots of junk food for only RM 7, its like only 10 cents each. Played lots of games at night and guess who we saw, and heard?? STTSS ex-headmaster, I think you know who. Had to listen to his lecture, twice a day. At least we had fun after the lectures.

After the camp was over, we went to Vicky's aunt's house behind the golf club. Man, it was even colder there. We made cake there, 2 cakes and 1 piece of bread-which-was-supposed-to-be-muffin. We also went to a nature walk at Mesilau, and we did crazy things there also, hahah. Too bad the good times didn't last that long, we had to come home last wednesday morning. It was fun while it lasted though!

Twenty-two

22 - Lily Allen

When she was 22 the future looked bright
But she's nearly 30 now and she's out every night
I see that look in her face she's got that look in her eye
She's thinking how did I get here and wondering why

It's sad but it's true how society says
Her life is already over
There's nothing to do and there's nothing to say
Til the man of her dreams comes along picks her up and puts her over his shoulder
It seems so unlikely in this day and age

She's got an alright job but it's not a career
Wherever she thinks about it, it brings her to tears
Cause all she wants is a boyfriend
She gets one-night stands
She's thinking how did I get here
I'm doing all that I can

It's sad but it's true how society says
Her life is already over
There's nothing to do and there's nothing to say
Til the man of her dreams comes along picks her up and puts her over his shoulder
It seems so unlikely in this day and age

It's sad but it's true how society says
Her life is already over
There's nothing to do and there's nothing to say
Til the man of her dreams comes along picks her up and puts her over his shoulder
It seems so unlikely in this day and age

Choir Competition

So, today is the class choir competition. I don't know how did we sang, but I think it's ok ok la. Nothing much happened, just practice, practice and practice then perform. This year the competition was held at the IS lecture hall which is pretty small and can't hear the piano. But never mind la, it's finally over. Tomorrow is solo competition, so good luck to all soloists! (p.s. mostly to Crystal)

Steorra

The concert is over. I sort of miss it, it was really fun and all. But now that it's over, I have lots, no, tons of homework to catch up on. I hope there's another concert next year. I really have to redeem myself. And I think the concert left some funny side effects on some people.. shh...

Earth Hour!!

It's Earth Hour right now and I'm actually typing this in pitch black. If you're participating in this event, you should also be in pitch black right now maybe having your TV or computer on. Most of my neighbors turned all their lights off also

Love the earth!! Not like there's any other planet to love

Can the sadness get any worse... No

Yes! Today I finally watched finish Clannad After Story, but there's still some extra episodes though. Episode 22 is the last episode but episode 21 was way more...emotional. I'm not gonna write anything about the story since nobody gets it anyway... But seriously, the whole anime is gonna get you crying, literally.

Now that I'm almost done with Clannad, I should start watching Darker Than Black since Sabina wants to borrow it. I wrapped the box up, just in case. I wrapped my Air DVD also since it was starting to look crappy. So, the holidays are half over and I still haven't done my English Oral Script and my Moral file.

Irony

So today I watched Clannad After Story. Can't believe it's actually so depresing and melancholic and sad and the list goes on and on... Last time I only watched it till episode 12 all because of crunchyroll "closing down" and being taken over by narutards~ Oh pooh...

Well, Clannad is a really nice anime and practically the only one I'm watching... Clannad After Story is even better. But the story is getting really sad~ Poor Nagisa... I watched episode 14 to 16 today, since due to some technical problems episode 13 won't load. =.= Clannad After Story is actually the second season of Clannad which was aired in the beginning of last year I think. It's mostly about Tomoya and sometimes about Nagisa, but somehow the theme centres on family. It's got good graphics, hehehe. And there's this illusionary girl living in the world that has ended with a robot she made out of junk. I'm still trying to figure out the relationship of the girl with the story though... Clannad After Story is pretty much the continuation of Clannad which stopped right before their graduation (I think... I'm not sure) Well, at least it's funny and it has stupid humour...lots of it....

And today I also saw Sue Theng for the first time in 3 months. Yay! She came back from Singapore for the school holidays. I missed her... ahahaha

Party

I just came back from Vicky's open house. Her house is really far away. The sports meet ended pretty late, around 6.30pm. So, we were a little late at Vicky's open house.

Vick's house have lots of lion dance performance. I think they invited two of them. I didn't really see the performance, was too busy eating. Lots of food at Vicky's house and cake. We celebrated Vicky's birthday also. She put 16 candles on her cake, LOL. Then, we took lots of photos.  Chuchu also took lots of "natural photos" or "behind the scenes photo". Haha.

Sabina spoiler, haha

And again

Sabina's eyes are sort of closed also in this photo

Sports Day

It was raining all day today~ Never ending rain from last night until, uhh... it's still raining now. The school field was literally turned into a school pond. The mud would reach your ankle if you stepped in it. Althought it was pouring all day, the events were held as usual. The athletes had to run in the rain, over lots of mud and puddles. The marching rehearsal in the morning was postponed to 3pm due to the rain and I had to wait for 3 hours doing nothing. But in the end the rehearsal was cancelled since it was still raining at 3pm.

When Vicky came back from Korea, she bought some souvenirs for me and Sabina, and of course for everyone else. She gave me a pair of really cute Spongebob socks and a pair of keychains. My face hurts so bad... I got a sunburn last week and now it's peeling!

The Bazaar

This is a one day late post about the school bazaar. Haha. I didn't have time to post it yesterday, so I'm posting it now.

The bazaar was kinda lame, since there's not really much food and other stuff. There was a dessert house at S1 Ren and the haunted house is somewhere nearby. Unfortunately, the haunted house was cancelled even before people had a chance to go in since there was an accident. Somebody climbed up the coridor wall and fell through the roof, I think. There was a big hole on the roof but no one really knows what happened to that person. Well, too bad for the haunted house workers... They stayed up all night making the props.

There wasn't really much food to eat at the bazaar. Vicky, Clinton, Ang Ang, Feiven, Brandon Voo and me were walking together searching for stuff to eat. But, somehow Brandon Voo managed to get lost and suddenly appear back at S1 Xiao classroom, LOL. We bought lots of food and shared everything. I ate lots of sugary foods and now my tongue still hurts.

Overkill

I've got so much homework to do I'm gonna die...well, not really. I still have lots of maths homework to do... Sigh... I hate homework..

Nothing much happened today. Sports Day is coming soon, actually, it's two days later. I have to go marching on Sports Day, for 3 days. Gotta stand in the middle of the field for a very long time till my leg hurts and my face burning from the sun. Bazaar is also coming soon, which is this Thursday.

Sunday

It's the last day of the CNY holidays. Gotta go back to school tomorrow. I've got lots of homework to do today since I've been slacking off the entire holiday. But the good news is that I managed to finish everything this afternoon, yay. Haha

So, I didn't really get to do anything today except sleep till noon, cramming for my biology test tomorrow and do my pile of schoolwork. The holidays were kinda boring. I was forced to leave the comfort of my TV and go visit a bunch of people who would never ever even think of visiting me back. At least I got enough sleep in the holidays.
