Oooh, a nerdy post

I have finished reading Season of Secrets on Thursday night, finally. I kept putting it off since the few chapters in the beginning were a little boring but I made myself read it during the few hours which I was not able to sleep and the good stuff starting coming around the middle. It's a nice book but not as good as 'Ways to Live Forever' which is also by Sally Nicholls. I didn't really get the story at first, I kept thinking: what about him? what about her? so what the seasons are changing? But then I had a moment of epiphany, which I sort of get a lot nowadays, and the puzzle is complete! Haha.

Well, I TRIED to read the other two books I ordered, namely 'The Heartbreakers' and 'This Book is not Fat, it's Fabulous'. Note the word 'tried', which means I attempted to read them but they just didn't spark my interest and 'reading mind' so I quit after 10 pages. No offence to anyone but I sort of hate those two books... One of them had kissing all over the first chapter and I just don't get the humor of the other (was it trying to be funny? Or maybe not...). So because of this slight predicament, I started on 'Outside Beauty' by Cynthia Kadohata, which happens to be the LAST unread book in my cabinet, (besides the other two mentioned earlier), oh no... Popular is having a 20% percent discount on certain books for members, I must get 'The Time-Traveler's Wife'!!

Okay, so I guess this is gonna be a long post. Today I went to Citymall for a seminar (wow, that's rare). My friend invited me to go and I just thought: What the heck, I'll just go and sit there then. Who ever thought it was a seminar about sales and ways you can earn 300k a month ( I was kinda skeptic about it), at least I never thought it was... Well, anyone can tell I'm not a 'sales' kind of person and the lecturer said lots of sales terms which I just sat there and listened, searching my brain for the meaning of those words, information that I never found since it never existed. Haha, I don't think I'm cut out for the business world but who cares... As for the product we were 'supposed' to sell, it was actually some kind of bar (in simpler words, it's soap, without the soap's properties, huh...). I'm not gonna mention the name of it, since I'm pretty skeptic about everything... Haha.

Tomorrow's the inter-class bowling competition and I'm still sitting here blogging past midnight, I guess I really am a night-owl. I'm a little worried and nervous, more about not being able to find a ball that actually fits my hand than about the scoreboard. They really should make 9 and 10 pound balls for smaller fingers, whoever even gave them the idea that people who use heavier balls would have an insanely huge palm and large fingers. Sometimes they are just so unpractical, I could fit two thumbs into the thumb hole of a 14 pound ball, haha. I think I'd better go early so I could try ALL the balls, I must get the good ones! Haha.

I just thought of something interesting to post but I guess I'll save it for some other time. This is a really long post and I wouldn't want it to be as long as a novella, or even worse, a novel. Well, goodnight everyone!

Oh no! Then what are MY posts? Some of them can be LONG. Novella. T-T Hahahaha!

The Time Traveller's Wife!!!!!! Sigh. Now it's going to be hard looking for the book with the original cover.

Hope your competition will go well!!! Good luck!!! =D Don't forget to wear socks! Actually I also stop reading books that don't catch my interest in the beginning. Though some books I force myself to finish. Like Marshmallows For Breakfast by Dorothy Koomson. What do you think of that book? I didn't finish it because I found it was boring. But I feel so bad because I like her books. So I'm going to give it another try.

Congratulations on reaching your LAST unread book on your cabinet. I wonder how long that will take me. I have LOADS of books labelled unread on my bookshelf. How sad. I just keep buying when I enter a bookstore. I CAN'T HELP IT! Even over here, I have bought a few books which were on bargain, one book was about RM15. So yea. I'm those 'collectors'. Bad habit.

Oh BTW, you can just reply here in your own blog, if you actually find the need to reply. But yea, you don't have to travel far to my blog to reply. Hehe. Thanks anyway.

I'm just going to plop my head onto the rough paper I have laid out for my studying and lay there until my forehead hurts. Hah..

Hahaha, thanks!! I don't usually post long posts. The Time Traveller's Wife is on 20% discount right now. The cover art is nice but I don't like glossy covers, haha, weird, and I also don't like the words 'Now a major motion picture' on the cover, it gets old pretty quickly. I made an exception for 'My Sister's Keeper' but now they republished it with a nicer cover art, how could they! Haha

I saw Marshmallows for Breakfast at the bookstore, it didn't really catch my eye so I didn't buy it. I can't buy all the books I like, going broke. I usually borrow from the school library but now they don't really have any good books anymore. I don't think I'm ever gonna read those two books I ordered, they're just too boring and I don't really like mostly romance novels...

It's good that you have lots of books, haha, got stuff to keep you occupied all the time. Well, I guess I'll just reply here then. But of course I'll still go visit your blog. Thanks for all your comments by the way... Haha

No problem!! It's seriously my pleasure. Your blog is nice. =D

You mean My Sister's Keeper is a movie??????? GASP!!!!!!! Have to get the book!!! I read Keeping Faith. Awesome book. I have another book by Jodi Picoult. But I don't remember which. Haha. Can't wait!!!

Haha, thanks! Your blog's pretty interesting too!

Yeah, it was made into a movie last year I think. It was never released in the theaters here though... wonder why... It's a pretty good book, it's written from many different perspectives. I saw Keeping Faith lots of times, it's practically everywhere. Almost every single bookstore has it and also lots of books by Jodi Picoult. Her books are pretty melancholic, haha.

I know. Her books are all sad and.. serious I guess. Sometimes I would prefer to read some easy-to-read, simple books that don't make you think about your life and stuff. Haha.

Ok. I HAVE TO go post my overdue posts. I HAVE TO pump myself up with energy! ROAR! If not I'll be sitting here with those sleepy-eyes for the rest of the holidays.

What do I do???? I've finished all the series that my sister downloaded (those that I actually want to watch though. Alot of them I don't like). Sigh. There's officially nothing to do (that is meaningless). Looks like I have to move on to the ones with actual meaning.

Here goes! =D

Yeah... Most of her books talk about life and death stuff, but I guess those books are my type of books to read. I just hate those teenage love story books. Haha.

I've got nothing to do too. Haha, Good Luck to you!!

Haha. Which is probably the reason why you are the 'more depressed than an average person' type. Reading all those serious books. Haha.

Good luck to you too!!! =D
