Book the First

To Beatrice -
Darling, dearest, dead

Happy Chap Goh Mei everyone! (Though I don't really know what Chap Goh Mei is for). While everyone might be having a decent, if not horrible, day, I just had an utterly annoying day.

For starters, the electricity was cut off the whole day (just morning and afternoon actually, but nonetheless...) since the SESB just had to change the cables on the one day I'm completely free. Ironically, my physics teacher was just talking the other day about how the workers in other countries could change their electric cables without shutting down the power for the whole district by wearing some sort of special protective cage-like suit, nice going.

Now I'm typing this in the middle of a war zone. Stuff are randomly exploding all around me and I think I just heard a machine gun go off. What a dismal situation. There's like loud exploding sounds, short and brief exploding sounds, crescendo-ing exploding sounds, machine gun shooting sounds (I wonder...), car alarms, people screaming, people laughing, people screaming at laughing people or vice versa, the sound of my SCREAMING brain etc.

Yay! Apparently, I think they just signed a peace treaty. Note to self - if I ever can drive, never stay home after dinner on Chap Goh Mei.

17 this year! Aren't you excited???? =D =D

Heh. At least you had fireworks and cousins and FRIENDS etc. I spent my chap goh mei meeting new people. It wasn't that bad actually. But no cousins, no fireworks and no lion dance. At all!

Haha. I miss the car alarms sounding after every round of fireworks.

Haha, I'm getting old! At least I've still got a few months I could spend as a 16 year old XD XD

Haha, maybe we could switch positions XD The fireworks were going on all night, totally sounded like a battlefield
