It's still 2011

Once, there was this motivational speaker who came to my school to, obviously, motivate us. He said that one of the perks of living in a dorm is that you'll have friends to motivate you, so he advised us not to hate it and to think of it as a blessing. His explanation made me stun and facepalm. (Yes, this is in some way related to my post, even if you don't think it is).

So you've got this big test coming up and you have to study hard for it or you'll flunk and get expelled and then can't find a job and become forever alone hobo and die in some alley, alone. Then you would probably tell your housemates about the test and stress on the fact that you're going to start studying an hour later. In that hour, you'll be procrastinating on the internet surfing soul sucking websites like knowyourmeme.com and for some people, facebook. And then you realize that it's been an hour, but it doesn't feel like it and you're too lazy to study for the test and try to convince yourself that you can waste another hour. According to said motivational speaker, this is where your housemates will notice that you're procrastinating and motivate you by saying, hey stupid, why aren't you studying, you got that big test coming, why you so lazy. (Exact words)

The point is, if you need to get something done, peer pressure will MAKE you get it done whether you like it or not. It's peer pressure, duh, one of the biggest pressures ever but not included in physics textbooks. So his advice was to tell people about our goals and we will not escape the wrath of our own words. And getting to the other point, it's New Year's Eve! Which means, New Year Resolutions! And writing them out for people to see will work to help you get them done. Pffft, I hope. (See, told you it relates to my post).

My resolution for 2012: 1360 x 768
1280 x 768 is so 2011

Sadly, I didn't exactly finish my resolutions for 2011, but for a procrastinator, it was good enough that I got at least three of them done, out of ten. Oh. I realize that's not  good thing after all. Which means I should make another better one for 2012.

2012 Resolutions:
1. Breathe more oxygen
2. Retrieve soul from 9gag.com
3. Change my calendars in the house
4. Send random texts to people screaming Happy New Year
5. Have dinner
6. Pack my luggage
7. Get on an airplane
8. Update blog with weird stuff
9. Get on knowyourmeme.com
10. Get off knowyourmeme.com

Well, that's a better list. It's way more manageable than 2011 Resolutions where one of them was to stop procrastinating.

Gee, what a really long post to end a really long year. Haha, well, 2011 deserves a last post, because I don't want to go back and live it all over again so I have to close that chapter! Goodbye hardest year of my life. I will remember and miss you, not quite sure on the missing part though.

Happy New Year's Eve everyone!
It's still Eve by the way, tsk tsk, haha.
