Come to the dark side, we have cookies!

I am back from the dark side! (I was supposed to say this 6 days ago, but I faced some 'technical' difficulties...) Now I am horribly homesick, no, not the I-miss-home kind of homesick, but the I-am-at-home-feeling-sick kind. I went to KL for a week on the 17th of December with my school band (which explains why I am back), it was really fun though tiring and involved lots of bad weather and horrible cleanliness topped with perpetual haze. I wouldn't want to blog about the whole trip bit by bit, so I'll just blog about some interesting stuff.

We had 4 music exchange programs during the first 3 days. One memorable thing was that I met a guy who looked like Vicky's brother at the Confucian Private Secondary School (the school which we were also staying at), haha, he was younger though.

We went shopping after all our official business was done, haha. I went to Times Square on the 19th. They had a Borders outlet there! It was so big and there's even a Starbucks in there! But unfortunately I didn't have much time to walk around and frolic so I just walked past it in favor of getting my dinner! I can't believe I just walked past a huge bookstore without even peeking past the windows... That night we went to the stadium (don't know the name... XD) to watch the World Marching Band Competition 2009. It was boring at first but then it got really awesome, haha. We didn't manage to watch it till the end because it was getting really late. That competition was totally an eye opener, I never expected Malaysia to be that good and is actually in the run for the top 3 spots. Hah...

We went to KLCC on the 20th (?), I think it was the 20th... I went to Kinokuniya there, and it was HUGE! Books as far eye can see... They mostly sold novels and fictions and almost every genre you could imagine, except for textbooks and school reference books. I picked up 4 books there but unfortunately the line at the cashier was extremely long and I didn't have time to wait. Darn! Luckily, I got the chance to go back to Times Square and actually have the chance to enter Borders! My friends and I spent most of our time there, just sitting and reading. I bought 2 books there - The Lovely Bones and The Graveyard Book... If I had more financial support I would have bought a pile of books...

Next we went to Genting Highlands on the 21st and 22nd. It was freaking cold up there, sometimes I could even see my breath (not my own breath actually, I saw other people's breath since I didn't know how to do it, haha). The whole place was covered in fog most of the time and it was really windy outside. We rode the cable car (gondola actually) to go up to Genting Highlands since our bus couldn't go up. We waited for hours at the cable car station, everyone was queued in an 'S' shape, haha.  I spent my time (window) shopping at Genting, I didn't have the guts to go on any thrill rides and I didn't have the patience to go on kiddie rides. Let's just say that the hotel there is 'not the best option'.

We went to Mid Valley and Pavilion on the 22nd. I only got the chance to have lunch at Mid Valley, again, didn't have time to look around. Frankly I must say that I totally hate Pavilion. It's absolutely the place for those richest of the rich, I couldn't even get dinner without checking my wallet twice. Almost everything there has a 3-digit price tag...

That's about it for my trip. On the flight back, I still didn't get a window seat. But I was really tired so I didn't bother to change seats...

Merry Very Belated Christmas everyone! And Happy Second-To-Last Day of 2009!

Abnormality test

I found this today while going through random websites, haha. Somehow, I'd have to say credits go to alfred (I don't know alfred is, that was what the author wrote).

At the end of this message, you are asked a question.

Answer it immediately. Don't stop and think about it.

Just say the first thing that pops into your mind.

This is a fun 'test'... AND kind of spooky at the same time! Give it a
try and you'll see how many people you know fall into the same percentage as you.

Now - just follow the instructions as quickly as possible.

Do not go to the next calculation before you have finished the previous one..

You do not ever need to write or remember the answers, just do it
using your mind.

You'll be surprised.

Start:

How much is:

15 + 6

3 + 56

89 + 2

12 + 53

75 + 26

25 + 52

63 + 32

I know! Calculations are hard work, but it's nearly over..

Come on, one more!

123 + 5

QUICK! THINK ABOUT A COLOR AND A TOOL!

Scroll further to the bottom!

A bit more...

You just thought about a red hammer , didn't you?

If this is not your answer, you are among 2% of people who have a
different, if not abnormal, mind.

98% of the folks would answer a red hammer while doing this exercise.

Haha, I though of a green spanner (though I've never seen a spanner that is green...)

Fifty! Fifty passages of 'diligence'!

This is my 50th post! Cool! I didn't think I would last this long, let's sing a song to celebrate! Hahaha... Be prepared, this is gonna be a long post.

I will follow him~
Follow him wherever he~ may go
There isn't an ocean too deep
A mountain so high it could keep~
Keep me away~

-The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack

The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack is a really weird cartoon, so weird I can compare it to the likes of Invader Zim. But I love The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and also Invader Zim, haha. I guess I have a thing for weird stuff (trust me...).

Flapjack is so adorable! Hahaha

Gir! Is not useful AT ALL

Today I went bowling for the first time during this holidays, haha, and I ended up watching A Christmas Carol somehow. It was alright, like the dozens of remakes before it *unintended sarcasm*. The graphics were really good and some parts of the movie kept me at the edge of my seat, mainly because the graphics were so good, the ghosts were scary. Not to mention the sound effect were really creepy! A Christmas Carol is so totally the scariest 3D movie I have ever seen. A funny thing was, when i watched the commercial for it on TV, I actually thought it was made by real life actors and stuff, I did NOT expect that it was 3D... Hahaha... I think I'm going to watch New Moon tomorrow (movie day at most cinemas!). Can't believe I'm actually gonna watch New Moon but what the heck... Haha.

It's December already, time passes so quick it kinds freaked me out. I'm gonna be in senior 2 next year, which happens to just be next month, which also may or may not be a good thing. I'm getting a real big headache thinking about the future... and beyond... Haha. For once I've really felt the pressure of having a 'plan' for my life... I don't even know if I'm staying for senior 3 yet! Seriously, I gotta make up my mind. Everyone (not exactly) says that I have to decide where I'm gonna go to study and what I'm gonna study and blah blah blah, the usual. If only things were simple like choosing which primary school you're gonna go or choosing a better high school... *sigh* I can't even tell the difference between foundation program and pre-u, or are they the same? GAH! I guess this will be my last 'carefree' holidays...

The main point is... this is my 50th post! Hahaha...

World domination can wait!

Condolences

Due to some unfortunate event, my computer screen can only display colourful stripes (whee!) that change colours!! Isn't that great?! *twitching* So, I now pronounce my computer unfit to function and dead, cause of death: old age, crappy hardware and colourful striped screen, a moment of silence please... Hahaha. Now I'm forced to use the laptop, which is actually faster and works better than my crappy computer.

I went to watch 2012 a few days ago and it was AWESOME!! I meant the special effects, haha. I've never seen any movie with that much explosions and collapsing building and tsunamis and etc., ever. Though some parts weren't really realistic but it's still awesome, haha.

I'm feeling pretty lazy to blog... Haha
